at Brighton. Warney might like a trip to the seaside? Big step up to the Premier League. Stranger things have happened. I'd like to hear the thoughts from the sensible posters on here.

More chance of me winning the lotto Wednesday than Warney ever becoming a premiership manager. Let's face it he's only a fitness coach. He's only Roth U manager cause he's cheap & as I've said he'll toe the Tony Stewart line. Evans wouldn't last manager we could afford who never failed. That's not saying I want Evans back, he's history.

More chance UK winning Eurovision song contest than Mr Warne going there but there is always hope.

The actual sacking of Chris Hughton in itself is a shocker. What he has achieved at Brighton is admirable and shows how fickle some owners and fans can be. Whoever gets him as their next manager will have a quality manager.

In contrast, and it is a total contrast, Paul Warne is just starting on his career. He has overseen an unexpected promotion and two expected relegations with a League One squad. With an emphasis on motivation he may well be a success again in lower league football. At the moment he doesn’t have enough in his locker to attract even a Championship club, never mind one in the Premier League.

Can see why he got the sack, they’ve been shocking since new year and spent a fair amount last summer.

He’s a solid manager and a top end championship club will pick him up.

Apparently Swansea manager Graham Potter is an early favourite to replace him at Brighton, for reasons that are beyond me. Potter to Brighton, Pulis to Swansea, Steve McLaren back to Middlesborough, Hughton in at QPR. Something like that. The merry-go-round will keep going round. Bonkers.

Yep the failures keep getting contracts don't they. Maclaren and Bruce are beyond a joke how they keep getting managerial jobs, sacked within 12-18 months then land another...their agents I bet could pursuade Mark Carney that Brexit is good for the economy!

I'm really surprised that there is no confidence behind Warney being able to manage a below average PL side, yet he is good enough to manage a League 1 club next season? A League 1 club with limited finances and with no real chance of bouncing straight back up to the Championship. Given the opportunity I'd bet he'd make a good job of it beyond most people's expectations.

Warburton he's the new QPR manager so not Warney then, hardly surprised. I can't believe Mclaren keeps getting managers jobs. Bruce & Hughton are journey men managers will start ok but not succeed in the end. Pullis if you want a defensive manager he's your man, but Middlesborough with their budget got to be a top 6 side. Warney if we are not up there after a third of next season will be removed as manager. Can't see TS letting us not be contenders in the new season. But my tip if Warney gets his squad right for next season can't see him failing. Look at the play-offs from league 1 this season apart from Charlton not inspiring.
